Victoria falls

The Smoke that Thunders

One of nature’s most incredible feats, Victoria falls is a natural world wonder and undoubtably Africa’s adrenalin capital. Spanning an incredible 1700m, Victoria falls is the widest waterfall on earth and is shared between Zimbabwe and Zambia. It is twice as high as the Niagara Falls, with a drop of around 104m, the sights of which are most spectacular at the end of the rainy season in March when water gushes down at 10,000m³ per second.

Helicopter Flight over the Falls

There is no better way to start your vacation than with a helicopter flight over the Victoria Falls and the Zambezi River. It is only from this bird's eye view that one is able to truly grasp the grandeur and unmatched beauty of the river and the falls. And with some luck, while in the air you may see some elephants, buffalo and other animals too so be sure to have your camera handy.

Boat Cruise on the Zambezi River

One of the most popular excursions in Victoria Falls is a sunset cruise along the mighty Zambezi River. Enjoy the breathtaking scenery and look out for crocodiles, hippos and other wild animals. Fancy a bite to eat? The dinner tour is just as great. Imagine five-star cuisine accompanied by animals and the famous African sunset reflecting off the water.

Devil’s Pool – Swim to the Edge of Victoria Falls

The Devil’s Pool is a natural rock pool on the very edge of the Victoria Falls in Zambia. Witness the sheer 110m drop up-close-and-personal. Swimming to the edge is only possible when the water is shallow enough, usually at the end of the dry season, and is best and most safely done with aid of guide.
