Discover Victoria Falls’ Legendary “Smoke That Thunders”
Overview
Victoria Falls is one of Africa’s most iconic natural wonders, where the Zambezi River plunges into a basalt gorge with a roar you feel in your chest. The experience changes dramatically by season, from thunderous spray and rainbows in high water to dramatic gorge views and, in the low-water months, the rare opportunity to swim at the Devil’s Pool.
Whether you stay on the Zambia side in Livingstone, the Zimbabwe side in Victoria Falls Town, or combine both, it’s a destination that works beautifully as a short extension to a Southern African safari — and delivers maximum impact in just a few nights.

Best Time to Visit
Victoria Falls is a year-round destination.
May to October (Dry Season)
Water levels are at their highest in May, just after the rainy season, then steadily decrease through the dry months, revealing clearer gorge views, excellent conditions for activities, and easy wildlife viewing along the river.
November to April
With the start of the rains, water levels begin to rise from November, building toward peak flow in March and April, when gorge views become more limited. This period is marked by increasing power, heavy spray, and dramatic rainbows.
Some Popular Regions

Victoria Falls Town (Zimbabwe)
Classic viewpoints and a lively gateway town with strong access to tours and dining.
